Super Trekking 3-Day Crossing + KAIAK TRIP
A crossing lasting three days and two nights, which includes a new path, which we affectionately call the green coast of Lençóis Maranhenses, due to the fact that the entire route is developed on the banks of the dune field, between a community on the south side of the park. This script is also a proposal, which was being thought of by the teamEast Coast EcoAventura due to the growth in the number of people and groups on the traditional route. Taking a new route with lagoons and unknown places in Lençóis Maranhenses was an idea that benefited everyone, trekking participants and residents of the communities we visited. Two new places are presented in this regionMocambo community and theRancharia community, beautiful places, we hope everyone appreciates the nature of these places, they are incredible.
GEOGRAPHY AND LOCATION
OLençóis Maranhenses National Park, has a territorial area of 1,550 square km, is located in three municipalities in the state of Maranhão. Two degrees south of the equator, its territory is divided between the municipalities ofBarreirinhas with 53% of the area, municipality of Santo Amaro with 36% of the area, municipality of Primeira Cruz with 11% of the area. The park was created on June 10, 1981. Its geological age is approximately400,000 thousand years, the desert moves according to the direction of the wind, from East to West, somewhere between 10 and 50 meters per year. Its lagoons come from the rain that floods the Maranhão water table. Between May and June, some lagoons reach extremely high water levels, which causes the dune barriers to break, creating a burst of running water that heads towards the ocean, thus ending the life and beauty of some flooded regions. . The organism is ephemeral and provides us with different landscapes at different times throughout the year.
ABOUT THE LOCAL CLIMATE
Due to our proximity to the equator, around 300km to the south, we do not have a wide range of temperatures, during the day around 33° degrees, during the night around 27° degrees. It rains between January and May, strong winds between July and November.
BEST TIME TO DO THIS TOUR
This itinerary can be done throughout the year, as it is carried out on the side of theLençóis Maranhenses, there will always be lakes. However, the best landscape is betweenApril and August, that full landscape that everyone wants to enjoy.
REASONS TO TAKE THIS TOUR
This is a new itinerary, that is, fewer people in the houses and lakes visited, making the experience more personal, the fact that the communities are starting their reception work, their attitudes are even more authentic, they are not yet in the frenzy of mass tourism. Unlike the traditional route, the path is even wilder, without urban interference.

INVESTMENT VALUE
ITINERARY, Barreirinhas, Lagoa Bonita, Vila de Mucambo.
The itinerary starts at 4 am with the Costa Leste team picking up participants at their accommodation. The transfer to the starting point takes about an hour, and before starting the walk, breakfast is offered. This first day is about 12km. Along the route, lakes and wild landscapes, at the end of this stretch we settled in the community of Mucambo, where we could have our meals and a place to stay overnight.
In the afternoon we took a short walk to find lakes and a good place for the sunset. Free night.
Our accommodation is equipped with all servicesnecessary.
