The Super Lagoa is a visiting tour, carried out privately, for those who like to enjoy the lagoon rather than staying, traveling in a 4x4 and moving from lagoon to lagoon. Our goal is to make you enjoy your time to the fullest in a lagoon chosen by us Costa Leste EcoAventura. We have the infrastructure to keep you comfortable for longer in Lençóis Maranhenses.
GEOGRAPHY AND LOCATION
The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, has a territorial area of 1,550 square km, is located in three municipalities in the state of Maranhão. Two degrees south of the equator, its territory is divided between the municipalities of Barreirinhas with 53% of the area, the municipality of Santo Amaro with 36% of the area, and the municipality of Primeira Cruz with 11% of the area. The park was created on June 10, 1981. Its geological age is around 400,000 years, the desert moves according to the direction of the wind, from East to West, somewhere between 10 and 50 meters per year. Its lagoons come from the rain that floods the Maranhão water table. Between May and June, some lagoons reach very high water levels, which causes the dune barriers to break, creating a burst of running water that heads towards the ocean, thus ending the life and beauty of some flooded regions. . The organism is ephemeral and provides us with different landscapes at different times throughout the year.
ABOUT THE LOCAL CLIMATE
Due to our proximity to the equator, about 300km to the south, we do not have a wide range of temperatures, during the day around 33° degrees, during the night around 27° degrees. It rains between January and May, strong winds between July and November.

SUPER LAGOA can be held all year round, we visit hand-picked lagoons, so whenever the Lençóis Maranhenses organism presents itself differently, we too change, always finding places for you to have a great experience in the lagoons.

The tour provides you with a more contemplative visit, as well as a cultural exchange, as during the lunch break offered on the tour, we visit local communities and witness their customs in an authentic way. The tour can be done from Barreirinhas, city of Santo Amaro do Maranhão or from Vila de Atins.

ITINERARY, SUPER LAGOA IN LENÇÓIS MARANHENSES
The tour departs daily, always after breakfast at your accommodation in the Lençóis Maranhenses region. We visit exclusive lagoons, we stay longer in the lagoons, in order to make your experience unforgettable. During our lunch break we visited a community and enjoyed the local cuisine. In the afternoon we visited another lagoon privately and waited for the sunset.
The tour returns to the city of origin after sunset.
